Privacy Policy
Effective date: 31 May 2026
This is the privacy policy for the Somah Studiobrand ("Somah Studio", "we", "us", "our"). Somah Studio is currently a joint Phase 1 validation partnership of two Indian private limited companies, who together are the joint Data Fiduciaries for the personal data described in this policy:
- Somah EduSolutions Pvt. Ltd. — registered office: 2nd Floor, Awfis, Signature Tower 3, Sector 15, Part 2, Gurgaon (Haryana).
- Studio Innovate Pvt. Ltd. — registered office: A-229, Today Blossoms 1, Sector 47, Gurgaon (Haryana) 122018.
We run tutor-led, in-person AI training programs out of Gurgaon for teens, college students, and working professionals. This page explains what personal data we collect about you when you express interest in one of our programs, how we use it, and your rights under Indian law — in particular the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023(the "DPDP Act").
This policy applies to Indian residents. We do not knowingly market to, or collect data from, users outside India.
On successful conclusion of Phase 1, the parties intend to consolidate operations under a single entity (currently proposed as Somah Studio Pvt. Ltd.). When that consolidation occurs, this policy will be updated to reflect the new entity.
1. What we collect
We collect data you give us, primarily through Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Lead Ads and during conversations with our counselling team. We currently run four separate lead-form campaigns, and the fields differ slightly by campaign.

1.2 During the counsellor call
Our counsellors may capture additional context that helps us tailor the program conversation — for school students, the school class or college course; for working professionals, work background or career goals; and short notes from the call itself (concerns raised, next steps agreed).
1.3 At enrolment
When you enrol, we additionally collect the enrolled participant's full name and an emergency contact (for the Teens program).
If you are a Working Professional and request a GST tax invoice for company reimbursement, we additionally collect your company name, GSTIN, and company billing address.
We do not collect or process payment-card details on this website. Payment is handled outside the site through bank transfer or UPI.
2. How we collect it
- Meta Lead Ads — when you submit a lead form shown alongside a Facebook or Instagram ad
- Direct contact — when you message us on WhatsApp or call our team
- During counselling calls — when you share additional context about yourself or your child
3. Why we use it
- To contact you about the program you expressed interest in
- To schedule and conduct a counselling call
- To send program brochures and pricing details
- To onboard you if you enrol — sharing classroom details, group invites, and schedules
- To improve our programs based on aggregated feedback
We do not use your data for behavioural advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
4. Lawful basis
Under the DPDP Act, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent. By submitting a lead form or contacting us, you consent to us using your data for the purposes listed above.
5. Children's data (under 18)
Our Teens program is for 14–17-year-olds. We only process personal data about a child after the parent or lawful guardian has given verifiable consent — typically by themselves filling and submitting the Meta Lead Ad form, then speaking with us on the call.
- The parent is the one who submits the lead form, not the child.
- We do not target advertising at children or profile them.
- A parent may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us (see Section 11), and we will delete the child's data and end the engagement.
6. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary data with the following service providers, who act as our Data Processors:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — through Meta Lead Ads and Meta Business Suite, where lead data is retained for up to 90 days before we pull it into our own records.
- Meta / WhatsApp Business — for the messaging conversations our team has with you.
- Microsoft Azure — our website hosting provider.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We do not transfer your data outside India for any purpose beyond what these service providers require to host and deliver the services we use.
7. How long we keep it
- If you submit a lead but do not enrol — up to 18 months from your last contact with us.
- If you enrol in a program — for the duration of the program and for the time we are required to maintain enrolment records under applicable law (typically up to 8 years from the end of the program).
- You may ask us to delete your data earlier — see Section 8.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase it (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent for further processing (this may end our ability to deliver the program)
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you cannot
To exercise any of these rights, email us at inquiries@somahstudio.in. We respond within 14 business days.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data:
- HTTPS / TLS for all traffic to this website
- Access to lead and student data restricted to our founders and counselling team
- No public links to private data
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India in line with the DPDP Act.
10. Cookies and analytics
This website does not use third-party analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. Only essential cookies set by the hosting platform may be used to deliver the site.
